July 15th, 2009

Caitlin & Will returned to the Grand Ole Opry this past weekend, and performed their current single, “Address In The Stars.” Their performance marked the duo’s second appearance upon the famed Opry stage since their debut on May 22nd.

Beginning July 15th at noon, their brand-new video for “Address In The Stars” will premiere on Opry.com. This will be the first time Opry.com has ever premiered a music video and it will be available exclusively for 24 hours.

“Address In The Stars,” is one of six tracks already released on Caitlin & Will’s self-titled digital EP, currently available on all major services. The powerful video, directed by Steven L. Weaver (Revolution Pictures) paints a heartbreaking portrayal of the poignant single, which was co-written by singer Caitlin Lynn about her aunt’s passing of breast cancer in 2006.

Fans can register to win an autographed “star” prop from the music video now until July 31st at www.opry.com.

Caitlin & Will To Make Grand Ole Opry Debut This Friday Performing New Single, “Address In The Stars”

Nashville, TN – After finishing a trio of homecoming shows in the mid-Atlantic, including WMZQ Washington DC’s “WMZQ-Fest” at Nissan Pavilion, WPOC Baltimore’s Ram’s Head Live with Jason Michael Carroll, and a standing room only Mother’s Day show with Frederick, Maryland’s WFRE last week, Columbia Nashville newcomers Caitlin & Will will play on the most exciting stage for any country artist when they make their debut appearance at the Grand Ole Opry this Friday, May 22nd.

The duo will perform their debut single, “Address In The Stars,” which just cracked the Mediabase Top 40 and is already a huge hit with country radio listeners. The poignant song about losing a loved one was co-penned by singer Caitlin Lynn who was inspired by her aunt who passed away after a battle with breast cancer.

“For the first time, I am speechless,” says Caitlin of performing on the Opry for the first time.  “Knowing we will be playing where so many legendary artists have played before us takes my breath away.”

Will Snyder remembers his first Opry experience when he was 10 years old – he snuck away from his seat to get closer to the stage to see Steve Wariner up close. “I grew up with the Opry, as have so many generations of my family,” he says. “I look up to so many amazing acts that have played it, so I am honored to perform on such a historic place for country music.”

“Address In The Stars,” is one of six tracks already released on Caitlin & Will’s self-titled digital EP, which is available on all major services. The twosome will also be performing “Dark Horse,” an up-tempo, dirt-under-your-nails anthem about beating the odds, and title track of their forthcoming album.

Fans can tune in to 650 WSM AM or wsmonline.com as the duo makes their debut on the famed Grand Ole Opry radio show this Friday.

Caitlin & Will - The New York Times

April 16, 2009

When Caitlin Fisher and Will Snyder were relieved of their original partners and put together by the judges on the CMT singing competition “Can You Duet?” last year, it seemed deliberately comic: Ms. Fisher was a sultry blues vixen, and Mr. Snyder a Southern rock man.

Then, perversely, they won the show, beating actual duos (including the irrepressibly cheery married couple Joey + Rory). That they’ve found equal footing on their often impressive debut EP — released digitally last month by Columbia Nashville in advance of their first album, “Dark Horse,” due this summer — is an accomplishment.

And while Ms. Fisher and Mr. Snyder both have monster voices that sound great together, they still might not be a good fit. However, this is polite and energetic country-rock, restless and mildly unfashionable: in places, the Judds come to mind, as does early Garth Brooks.
